First of all, let me just start by saying a big 'thank you' to those of you who sent me kind wishes yesterday. All went ok at the hospital, I'm home now, just feeling a bit battered and bruised.
I've finally finished the third little portrait in that series of three that I started last week. This one is another ATC size box canvas and her name is Honor.
Here's the process... (following my usual steps)
I made a collaged background in complimentary colours to match the other two pieces. The only difference this time, is that I drew her face onto paper first and stuck it on the canvas, rather than draw it on the canvas itself. the reason that I did this, is because I'm not so sure how much I like the canvas texture that shows through at the end. You can see the difference if you look closely in a later piccy.
The tissue layer (same as usual) I also used up my last set of run-on butterfly wings. An excuse to go shopping :)
A little face close up - do you see what I mean about the smoother look from doing it on paper rather than the canvas? Oh and I used my pencil crayons again.
Here they are all together, please excuse the photography ( I take my shots on my iPhone)
How cute do they look all together?
Now what shall I do next?
I'll have to put my thinking cap on... (perhaps I should get round to finishing the set up of the Etsy shop then I can put these little lovelies up for sale)
Don't forget to say hello on Facebook, I'm giving away a mini canvas (like these) to my 100th 'Like' on my Art Eye Candy page.
