Steampunk...

If you caught the last post, then you will know that I've taken a very tentative step into the land of Steampunk, and although it has been tentative, it has been fabulous.
If you've been following my little blog for a while, you know that I'm a lover of all things colorful, so I'm sure you can imagine what a change this was to make.
So anyway, this is what I did to her today (besides spilling my ink).

LOOK

I stopped for ages once I got to this part, worried that I'd ruin her if I carried on, but she was (and looked) unfinished.  So I went out with my Little Miss, ate a burger, had some fun, then came back to her a few hours later.

Here's some detail steampunky close ups...

It doesn't show so well here, but her straps are spoons.

She's mixed media through and through.

Here's a list of what I did/used;

COLLAGE
ACRYLIC
GESSO
MORE ACRYLIC
WATERCOLOR PAINT
INK PEN
PENCIL CRAYON
DISTRESS INK
MORE ACRYLIC PAINT
INDIAN INK
PAPER BITS
RUBBER STAMPS
MORE DISTRESS INK
and finally
GLOSS MEDIUM.

and this is how she looks now,

she's on canvas, 20" square.

Oh I LOVE her.

Oh...I just love Ms. Steampunk! She's not so hard-edged like some others and there's an ineffable quality to her. If you ever make prints, I would love to order one of her. xoxo

Hey Bev,
ooh yes goths... I was once a goth, for about six months ha ha, my Mom wouldn't let me spray my hair black though so it ended pretty fast. Aah those were the days. LOL
